Hiring an interior designer can feel like a big step, especially if it’s your first time. At Emerald Studio, our goal is to make the process exciting, clear and enjoyable from start to finish.
Here’s how we guide you from that very first conversation to the final reveal:
Discovery Call
We begin with a relaxed conversation to learn about your style, lifestyle, and specific needs. This is where we listen carefully, answer all your questions and share how our expertise can help.
Consultation
During our in-person design consultation, we will walk through your space, take detailed notes, photos and measurements. We will provide our professional knowledge, recommendations for your home and discuss next steps.
Proposal
Next, we will share a proposal that provides information about our services and process. You’ll review a detailed scope that outlines exactly what’s included, along with a budget. Once the design process is completed, a Materials Proposal will be presented of the selections. Based on the final design concept, an Estimate will be sent out, inclusive of the final material selections and any installations that may be required.
Design Phase
Depending on the scope of your project, the design phase can take anywhere from a few weeks to months, even years. This multi-step process includes the initial design concept, sourcing and selecting finishes, fabrics, and furnishings, procurement of all materials, coordinating delivery, and finally installation.
Installation & Final Styling
When everything arrives, we oversee the install—placing furniture, hanging art and adding those finishing touches that bring the space to life. You’ll walk into a home that feels perfectly you, without the stress of juggling the details.
Working with a designer isn’t about giving up control—it’s about gaining a partner who sees the big picture, sweats the small stuff, and keeps the process fun.
✨ Design Tip ✨
Bring Your Inspiration—but Stay Flexible. Gather images, colors and ideas that excite you before your consultation. They help us understand your taste and priorities. But keep an open mind: a designer can spot patterns you might not notice and introduce fresh concepts that elevate your vision.
